Snow Day

I often find spoons under the kids' pillows as I make their beds each day at work. Someone, somewhere told them it will bring a snow day. Sunday night, it worked. Monday morning brought a few inches of the best packing snow ever. We had a great time sledding, building a snowman, and of course, having a snowball fight.

Boston Temple

We had such a beautiful time in the Boston Temple Saturday, I couldn't resist taking a few shots after we finished. It was frigidly cold, but still so beautiful. The celestial room has stained glass in it similar to the Bountiful Temple. I love it when it's sunny out and light shines in. I always start to sing in my mind the lyrics to a song, "Heavens light flows, through the window, warming walls of even stone. In God's house, in his temple, I find strength beyond my own."

Kohleen Reeder joined us on our outing and snapped this shot.

Russia | Two Years Past

I finally decided to go through the photos I took in Russia. Ya, it's been two years since I took them. But better late than never. I was just starting out with my photography when I took these, so it's been fun to go through them and see some of the subjects that made me decide I really wanted to be a photographer.

I'm thinking of making them into a coffee table book of some sorts, but until I get that figured out, they will simply be another post. So here are my top picks out of hundreds that I took in Russia, Feb 2005-May2005. They're taken in Moscow and St. Petersburg and the surrounding areas.
