Little Boy with a Pink Bow

While I was home for Christmas I tried to take my little sister Olivia to the little girls room. Mistake. "I'm a boy!" she told me. Apparently, my little brother James told her this one day and it's stuck. When my mom asked her what she wanted for Christmas she enthusiastically replied, "A Gun!"

She still wears pink bows in her hair and is already fashion conscious, so we're hoping her curly golden locks won't go to waste. I changed my name when I was her age. I'm sure her wanting to be a boy is healthy. And I remember loving to play in the dirt just as much as she did in these pictures. But I don't think I ever worked on tractors...

We'll blame Deweyville. It was nice to be home.

Dreamy Dress

Laura was so excited to wear her dress to prom that her mom had a dream wherein Laura died the day before the big night. Out of respect for her anticipation, she was buried in the dress. Morbid, yes, but after hand stiching extra "bling" all over the skirt and straps, she'll probably
never part with this dress.

My Best Friends Wedding

I met Analeis in Russia. We taught English there together. The day she walked in she was in love with Richard and they'd only really known each other two weeks. She had a wedding date before we came back to the United States. It was only then that I really got to see how perfect Richard is for her. I was there for their entire wedding day capturing the candid moments. These are my favorite ones taken on the temple grounds.
